HISTORY/ABOUT US

At Dazzling Sounds we specialise in: Sound Engineering, PA Hire, Lighting Engineering, Lighting Hire, AV, Power and Touring packages. We aim to please and create a brilliant atmosphere at your event.

Dazzling Sounds all began back in 2008 when Darrin first started doing discos for family and friends, this normally involved a PA system, to big for any house, put in to a small room or garden and turned up to the max. Around this time Darrin started playing guitar with various local bands and this began the interest in live sound.

In 2010, at the age of 19 Darrin officially created Dazzling Sounds. Originally providing discos at a competitive price, this included weddings, birthdays and other events across a range of venues in the Newcastle and Northumberland area . As Dazzling Sounds grew he got his friend Matthew involved and together they took on bigger and bigger events. Some of the earlier, most memorable events, that Dazzling Sounds were involved with included a gig on the roof of a building in Newcastle city centre for the Newcastle Young Council also an event outside of Alnwick for The Leek Club annual get together where the music could be heard from 3 miles away.

For the next three years Darrin went off to University to study Live Music and Theatre Production, where he received two degree in Live Music and Music Enterprise. While Darrin was studying he began DJing in clubs such as Space Bar, As You Like It and many other high quality wedding venues for AMV Music.

Dazzlings Sounds went on hold as Darrin went off to put the skills to good use and learn more while working for a small North-East Hire company.

In 2017 Dazzling Sounds was reborn. Darrin decided to be self employed.  A major rebranding of the company brought lots of new clients to Dazzling Sounds and with a major cash investment a lot of new equipment was bought. Within 2017 we also started full time touring with two different shows, across the UK and into Europe.

By 2018 the company grew too big for our original small lock up.  We then moved into our new premises at Silverlink Business Park where we have been ever since, constantly investing in the company and taking on bigger and bigger events.  

​

In 2019 we expanded our Audio, Video and Lighting Stocks including investments in new PA Systems, Microphones, Projectors, Screens, LED Lighting fixtures and more cabling. We took part in some major festivals providing equipment for 'Hit the North Festival' and 'This Is Tomorrow'.

Today Dazzling Sounds has a large supply of Sound, Video and Lighting equipment for events large or small. From our premises in The Silverlink  Business Park we travel all around the UK for various events, gigs, festivals and touring. We pride ourselves in keeping all our equipment in the best condition and  investing in brand new equipment so that our hire stock is always up to date.

Dazzling Sounds has full Public Liability Insurance and all equipment tested for each and every event.
